General Practitioners Ossenmarkt

General practice for people from all walks of life

General Practitioners Ossenmarkt is a small-scale general practice in the center of the university city of Groningen. The team consists of GP’s, a Practice Nurse, a Counselor and Receptionists. The practice started out as a student-practice only, part of the University of Groningen. Although we are independent now and people from all walks of life are welcome, we still have a lot of experience with (international) students and expats.

Notices

Take note

  • Doctor Sikkema as regular doctor 2025:

Doctor Sikkema will start working three days per week, starting January 2025. She will take care of patients who earlier had doctor Slot and later doctor Schweigmann as their regular doctors. Doctor Farah Cawale and doctor Elburg (thier working days were tuesday and friday respectively in 2024) will be leaving the practice in 2025.

  • Christmas break 2024:

The practice is closed on December 23, 25 and 26 2024 and January 1, 2025.

  • Flu shot November 12, 2024:

The annual flu and pneumococcal vaccinations will be given on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. At the beginning of November, all eligible patients will receive an invitation by post. See the Flu shot page for more information.

  • Reduced telephone accessibility of the practice:

Due to illness and the national shortage of GP assistants, waiting times on the telephone may have increased. Or that we cannot plan minor medical procedures at short notice. We hope for your patience and understanding.
